NCRIS Investment for National Research Infrastructure Talent
)
ACRI welcomes a new investment of $5 million through the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) specifically for the benefit of Australia’s research infrastructure workforce. ACRI looks forward to partnering with the lead organisation, Microscopy Australia, and the Technician Commitment in delivering a well overdue targeted program of support for our research infrastructure talent.
This national initiative will support implementation of the Technician Commitment in Australia, alongside coordinated professional development and fellowship programs. Together, these efforts will strengthen career pathways, improve recognition, and help attract and retain the highly skilled workforce essential to Australia’s research and innovation system.
“I often get asked what will ACRI do? This NCRIS outcome is exactly the tangible result of ACRI’s advocacy and effective channelling of the voice of ACRI members and supporters. This foundation resourcing will catalyse exciting new programs across recognition and professional development of RI staff. My sincere thanks to Kelly (Vere, Director, UK Technician Commitment), Joe (Shapter, Chair, ACRI) and Lisa (Yen, CEO, Microscopy Australia) for all the hard work and dedication to the cause”, - Adjunct Prof. Sach Jayasinghe, Founder & Executive Director, ACRI.
Come and celebrate this achievement at the ACRI Conference.
